Mark Glassmeyer’s passion for flight was born early, fueled by his grandfather’s stories of piloting B-24s during World War II. Though life, family, and career temporarily paused his early flight lessons, Mark eventually returned to the cockpit after a 25-year break, earning his Private Pilot certificate. Today, he stays in the air by flying a Cessna 172 and a Citabria.
During his training, Mark couldn’t find a flight bag designed for the real-world demands of modern aviators. Teaming up with his flight instructor, he set out to build a better one. The result was the Lift Bag, launched in 2014—the single product that sparked one of the most trusted gear brands in general aviation.
In 2018, Mark met Kelly Keller—a third-generation pilot and aircraft owner—at the Valdez STOL Competition in Alaska. Kelly loved the brand’s spirit, and in 2026, she officially joined forces with Mark as a business partner to help take Flight Outfitters to new heights.
Today, Mark and Kelly remain focused on crafting tough, purpose-built flight bags, kneeboards, and cockpit accessories. Every piece of gear we design is built to handle the journey and empower you to Pilot Your Own Adventure.
